This philosophy captures the essence of photographer Jarrod Oram's work. Rather than viewing photography as simply documenting a scene, Oram sees it as an experience rooted in patience, observation, and intuition.
Jarrod's Beginning
Oram's appreciation for visual storytelling began in childhood. Growing up with a mother who was also a photographer, he was immersed in art, architecture, museums, antique stores, and cross-country road trips. These experiences shaped the way he learned to observe the world, developing an eye for light, design, and the beauty found in everyday places (Oram, n.d.).
Jarrod's Process
Oram's creative process is centered on patience and discovery. Instead of planning every shot, he lets the journey lead the way, waiting for the right light, movement, or moment to reveal itself. By slowing down and observing the world around him, he transforms everyday scenes into photographs that feel immersive, meaningful, and emotionally connected (Oram, n.d.).
