October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In her lifetime, 1 in 8 women will find herself affected by breast cancer. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SAINT introduces the St. Agatha candle, the archangel of breast cancer. Light the wick to serve as a reminder to make health a priority, provide courage to those fighting and remind survivors of their strength.
The Prayer of Saint Agatha
“Saint Agatha, saint of breast cancer, you withstood the advances from unwanted suitors, and suffered pain and torture for your devotion to God. We celebrate your faith, dignity, and martyrdom, and ask that you protect us all from cancer and other violations, especially [name person] who is ready to receive your holy intercession. Amen.”
Saint Candles
When SAINT founder Ira Dewitt’s friend was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, Ira found herself in search of a gift more spiritual and purposeful than flowers or a card. Finding a lack of meaningful options, Ira decided to make something of her own, creating the SAINT Candles Collection - “Modern Prayer Candles for a Cause.”
Inspired by sacred traditions and comprising over a dozen scents, SAINT candles are named after a patron saint associated with a specific aspect of human life. Whether a loved one is battling a health issue, embarking on a new journey in life or searching for love, there is a patron saint to help them on their path. Each candle is hand poured with holy oil and includes a prayer coin embedded in the candle which reveals itself once the candle has burned down.
Together with beautiful keepsake packaging, individualized scents and unexpected details, SAINT candles are an unforgettable gift to touch people’s hearts.
“Modern Prayer Candles for a Cause,” 10% of all proceeds from SAINT products benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Your First Lighting
Before your first lighting, read out loud the prayer of the patron saint, then light your wick. Over time, as the wax burns down, the prayer coin will reveal itself at the bottom of the vessel. Remove your coin and keep in your wallet, purse, car as a daily reminder of life’s blessings.
